zr1 numbers at the ring were significantly better than the gt-r. The V-Spec model will be better equipped to take on the ZR-1, but the base gt-r being sold right now in the US just isn’t as fast as the ZR-1.
Hell the base gt-r isn’t as fast as the normal z06 lol.
Porsche is just mad that the GTR is beating the 997TT in almost every race thus far, and by a wide margin.

The 997TT is a fat pig luxury touring machine with a decent bit of power. You should be comparing the 997 GT3 to the GTR, not the TT.
Also the ACR is a load of bullshit using r-comps and lightening, so I wouldn’t consider that in the same league.

Shockwave: your description for the 997TT could just as easily be applied to the GTR. The GT2/3 is a purpose built race machine…loud as hell in the cabin, and you can feel how many legs the insect you just ran over had because of the stiff suspension settings.
LZ: Those tires are pretty nice for when it rains, or for driving in snow. I think it was Top Gear that floored the GTR on wet grass, and the thing took off, I’ll have to find the link. And weight…well, eh, I drive a Supra, I’m used to it :mamoru:
