in the last day or two my BOV has not been working, it makes no noise at all. it feels like i have alot less power as well. at low RPMs the car backfires a bit while coming to a stop. i checked the lines and didnt come across anything loose. could the BOV possibly be stuck open? or does this sound like a boost leak? any help at all would be awesome
You should hear air running out of it if it is stuck open. Get that boost gauge in and see if you are making any boost.
when the car is at idle, put ure hand over the outlet and try to seal it up, my car gained rpm wen i did this. If things seem to stabalize than my guess would be it is stuck open and ure need to either adjust it. Take it apart and clean it(may need to resael it wen doing this) or u may need a new one unfortunatly. mine leaks at idle, but it is meant to be recirculated.
it sounds like it is sputtering out around 3000-4000 RPM. i might just be hearing things though :rolleyes:
