in honor of my current tdi turning 240k. the only other car ive owned with more miles is a 1982 vw rabbit diesel with 374k and that thing ran like a fucking champ. still kinda wish i had not sold it but i made 5x what i paid for it…
1989 Geo Spectrum, 23x,xxx miles. Ran great too, but after serving for a DD for several then relegated to winter duties it was rotted really bad. It looked like swiss cheese and wasn’t safe, hence its retirement.
237k Honda Civic Hatch 1991, Great car.
highest mileage was my 1991 Audi 100 quattro with 196k on it. Oil cooler hose blew apart at 193k and Car ran with no oil for 15 minutes. Fixed cooler line and filled it back up and that engine didn’t make a peep. Had to trash it because every line on the car started rotting one at a time.
Oh my good old '89 80q. Def had over 300k on it. The odometer stopped working at around 127k though so I’ll never truely know how many miles were on it, but in the 3 years I owned it, I know I had to put more than 100k+ miles on the thing, so maybe even 400k+…
143,000 miles were on my beetle when I sold it. I loved that car.
187k on a 99 Yukon, I got it with 8 miles
175K ish miles on a 1997 4.3L silverado, sold it to deathproof, he drove it and got like 20+ mpg and sold it to some kid who I’m assuming totaled it because he was kind of dumb.
My M3 just clicked 123K on her. UGH
241,xxx on a 95 explorer with a basically rust free body.
I think the Pathfinder kcuv sold me had 189k on it when i got rid of it. Thing was fucking awesome.
154K on my 1996 v6 mustang when I sold it. up to 133K on the current winter beater 98 explorer, bought it with 113K in oct 08. 20K miles and I don’t drive it in the summmer lol
249,xxx on my 2000 dodge neon winter beater. Still has the original tranny which is very surprising
238K on my SHO right now…fooking forward to getting into something else once I decide what I want, but the no car payment right now keeps me driving it. The SHO has been suprisingly reliable, and still looks incredibly clean.
91 Cavalier has somwhere around 235k, bought it in 1991 with 10k
96 GTI that I sold last April had 230k
the wife’s 99 Audi Avant just turned 160k
Pretty much I havent owned a car with under 100k miles since I bought the cavy back in 91. Since then I seem to only buy cars with 100k+
Dan
2000 gmc sierra had 167k when i got rid of it still ran/looked/drove great
aaaaaaaaaaand i was 7 years old…
200k on a couple 16v GTI’s, nothing too serious.
Audi S6 236K and counting
The highest that I ever got was to 105,000. Most of my vehicles get traded in before the 100,000 mark. My truck is at 76,000 and my car is at 48,000. The truck will be gone this year, and the car will be gone before it hits 75,000.
One of my E30’s I sold with 278,000. IIRC one of them made it just over 300k.
