Looks fun sidewayz, I’m on snott but really have only been using it for the classifieds. Once I get my lift installed and some new tires i’ll be more active.
The 3rd gen’s are a bit complicated when it comes to options. In 99 they changed the transfer case to mutlimode which allows for awd. 96-98 transfer cases have electonic 4 hi but it should only be used when your wheels can slip, but it can be engaged on the fly up to 110km. 99 also came in with additional electronics, trac and stability control so they took away the option for the locking dif figuring the stability control of the abs system would get you out of a mud hole. the e locker was only available on limited model trucks and even then it was a dealer option on top. Since the majority of these trucks were purchased by soccer moms it makes that option very rare. The people I got my truck off of had no idea how to use it or even put it in 4lo, all they knew how to do was press the 4hi button. The e locker option is what up’s the gear ratio as well, trucks without were 4.10. 99 was the last year the e lock was available as an option and it was also packaged with the multimode transfer case. a 5sp 99 with an e-locker is pretty much the holy grail of 3rd 4runners.
