Not the greatest picture with my phone, but I don’t feel like grabing my regular camera.

Walther PPS .40 (not to be confused with the PPK/S)

Hard to confuse them when the PPKs is nothing like that let alone stainless. :stuck_out_tongue:

The name shit head. I say “PPS” and people are saying you mean the PPK/S. My response is no they are two different guns i have the PPS.

I would just say “you’re stupid” and leave it at that. If people know enough to know there is a PPK/S and that it’s somehow different from the PPK (since non-gun people know what ppks are but not ppk/s) then they should know what a PPS is.

Just an observation.

What?

The PPS has only been around since 2007. The PPK since 1931, and PPK/S the late 60’s early 70’s. So if someone wasn’t aware of a PPS since the gun has only been around for 2 years I’m not going to fault them and act like they are inferior to myself.

Just an observation.

Pittsburgh Pirates Suck and so does PPK music

You guys argue over the dumbest shit

Your’e right, you didnt’ get what I said.

Those are sexah. How much power (on your particular setup) are you expecting with this upgrade?

so the primaries are 2" and the collector is 3" thats awesome. i love big headers… need that for mine.

Where’d you get it? My wife and I are looking for a new stainless fridge. Right now we’re looking at Bridgeville Appliance, they seem to have the best price. All the scratch and dent places only had pieces that we completely beat to hell.

Well, everything is changing, I wouldn’t expect too much more w/ the current setup (right now the car has 1 3/4" Kooks on a 348 cui forged LS6, ~440RWHP w/ a small cam). But everything is changing… if you look back at some of my posts in this thread my builder sent his spare LS7 block off for sleeves for me, but it was damaged beyond use so I actually just ordered up one of these instead…

(LS7-based 427cui Shortblock)

…that showed up earlier this week. I’m doing a full, true dry sump, eliminating the in-motor oil pump and doing it “right” (as opposed to the LS7 style semi-dry sump which uses an in-motor pump for pressure and a sorta half-assed scavenge pump).

I’m looking at PRC’s 265cc LS7 heads, but since I haven’t actually ordered them I haven’t posted them in this thread. The cam will probably be in the high 240s intake, low 250s exhaust (split towards the exhaust to make up for the stock Ti mufflers/tips which I will retain). I’ll also do the FAST 102mm intake manifold/Nick Williams 102mm TB but again, not purchased yet so no pics in this thread.

All-in-all I’d expect about 580-600 RWHP without the Ti exhaust restriction I’m putting on it, so I’m looking at more like 560-570 maybe? My builder made 590 I believe on his C6Z w/ the same heads, smaller headers (1 7/8" all the way) but a true 3" exhaust and the 102/102. And that is with the C6Z semi-dry sump which does not actually pull vacuum. Builders are telling me they see 10-20 flywheel HP just from crankcase vacuum.

Only time will tell what it really does.

The headers are 1 7/8" at the flange, transitioning to 2" where you see the first weld in the primaries, then 3" collectors, yes. My X-pipe which I’ll keep is 3" necking down to 2.5" being that it mates to the factory Ti exhaust (which is slightly under 2.5" IIRC).

I will probably be giving up ~20 RWHP w/ the Ti but I love the sound, and I still want to be able to run some of the courses around here w/ sound restriction (Laguna Seca, Infineon aka Sears Point, even THill techincally has a restriction and its in bum-fuck nowhere).

We’ll probably make a few pulls w/ the Ti’s disconnected (still going through the 3" to 2.5" X) just to see what I’m giving up vs. aftermarket catbacks.

good luck with build

what clutch you going with?

I haven’t really decided yet. I was thinking about the RPS Billet Carbon Twin w/ the AL fly and such that comes to 25lbs total… but the mother f@wker is expensive (over $2300 on sale). I have a LS7 clutch in the car now that “should” hold long enough to get the motor broken in and tuned but I’d rather just do the clutch while the car is all apart.

I’d really like to run the Katech-modded LS9 setup, but Katech doesn’t think it’ll work in a C5. It uses a specific slave, which will only mate to C6 style master. Nobody can tell me if a C6 master bolts up to a C5. Further, the slave is “shorter” than C5 spec, so some amount of shimming would be required. If somebody else figures out the details, I’d be glad to run it… but I don’t want to be the guinea pig.

try the monster clutch have one behind a 440cubed lsx TA. so far so good and we ahve gone through a lot of clutches on the street this year with this car. with lighter car like yours should live for long time

Yeah, that’s gonna be a sick build-up. You’re going true big-displacement in head, block, and exhaust flow, it should be a monster.
