I have a 2000 xr50r for my kids and it will lift the tire a little bit with me on it when going from 2nd to 3rd, but you hold up on the shifter for a little bit. 1st to 2nd gear is too easy.

50’s are fun as hell to ride.

picked these up today.

Got what we thought was a good deal. Have been wanting a bike for awhile now, ran accross this so it now has a new home.

^^ is that an old Buick in the background?

looks better with the license plate… did your kid put that one on too? lol

1963 pontiac catalina.

Really…what’s the deal on it?

needs some parts fenders and the cowl area maybe a few other things and tom vito to get off his ass and work on it. i believe he has pictures of it before he tore it down, oh yea and he got it free!

Hell we all know there is no such thing as something for nothing.

But the deal is this, it is a 1963 pontiac catalina, that was bought by my grandfather in 1965, he passed away in 1968 and it was parked in the same dirt floor garage from '68 until late 2007. My plans are for it to be a father son project, with a little help from Neon, but neon went a moved 15 miles away, and with gas at a whooping $2.05 a gallon he never comes around to help. And now with buying a bike it looks like even less time for the car.

Over all it is’t too bad. No major rust other than the cowl area and the truck floor. I wanted new fenders since some assjack welded the current ones on, but it is hard to find any body any body parts for it, and these are fixable.

Maybe I will start a new thread about it in the domestic section later today.

actually i moved before he had the car and im willing to help anytime, he just wont help me work on his car.

My story, I’ll tell the way I want to hear it…:bigok:

Cool. It’d be nice to see it on the road sometime.

There many guys who are restoring/building full size Pontiacs on the P-Y forums (Performance Years is a GTO/Pontiac parts supplier - Similar to Ames Performance Engineering. I buy most of my parts from Ames, but P-Y has a better discussion forum.

My screen name is 6Grrrs over there.

i just ordered a catalog from ames, i think this big ass pontiac is a bad ass car. i would like to see it on the highway too.

Cool thanks for the link. I will check it out later tonight. I’m with you guys I can’t wait to drive it down the road.
