The AR10 is a much lighter, and just as accurate platform.
That M1 is all Tapco’d up and looks like a stupid movie prop IMHO.

yeah. Ordered dpms lr-308 for my AR-10. Gonna be a 8-10 weeks before I see it. 24" bbl, Teflon coat, adjustable trigger, and a few other things.
This is the basic gun, I’ll deal with the scope later. My barrel will be flat black.

that’s fantastic. Just curious, how much do you think you saved ($) per round as opposed to buying over the counter?
I figured that reloading .45 it would pay itself off in 2500ish rounds.
The advantage is that I’m getting much better rounds from this. And it’s real easy to change dies (calibers)
Have the same one in the room next to me, we reload .40.

The AR-10 will be more accurate in the end… and the new Springfield stuff is meh at best.
BUT, the M1A really is a great fucking rifle… and it has a wood stock (I hate all this plastic shit)
Find an old Norinco M1A, they are the only commercial variants that used a forged receiver. The bolts on them are a little soft, so keep your eyes open for a USGI bolt to swap it with. You will save money, and have a better rifle.

I can tell you about it. Its the most popular gun in the world, for a reason.
Cause its cheap and my uncle says you can have it rust shut and it will still shoot any caliber round in the world?
