After some coaching on getting back on the gas once the car starts to rotate and steering into the skid.

Needs some drag radials

Awesome

Nice! I should know this…but does that one still have the engine sounds in it?

Duct tape on the wheels works and watch the motor it will start to burn up if you do it to much.

nice!!

Haha awesome

I’m building the one more my son this week. Drag race call out? LOL

Anyone need a tow rig? I have a escalade that needs a oil tlc

Yeah, we talked about it being your car back when you helped me pick this up from the EA store.

Yeah, I’ve been lurking around on http://www.modifiedpowerwheels.com/ and I don’t think I’ll be doing anything to increase rear wheel traction. You just run into issues with burnt motors and broken gear boxes. I’ll probably do something to give the front’s more traction for better drifto action though.

It’s never too young to teach kids that speed in a straight line is for people who can’t drive. You’re welcome to bring it over for some wheel to wheel racing when I have my mini-road course set up in the back yard once it dries out though.

Video or it didn’t happen

It’s in the first post noob. Surfing from somewhere that blocks youtube?

If you imbed videos, it imbeds them in flash, and nothing comes up when viewing on an iPhone

Right on. Reason I ask is there was talk that this second generation Mustang had the sounds costed out…I never verified, but glad to hear there still there!

Since this was years ago, and there’s a new crew frequenting these board…my Mustang was recorded for the sounds on this little toy:)

^ Apparently they decided to keep the engine sounds and instead deleted the real radio that the 1st gen had. Now the “radio” just plays about 10 seconds of 2 or 3 different tracks, along with the engine and burnout sounds.

I’m thinking I may have to wire up a real cheap stereo into the thing because she’s constantly pressing the radio button to get the few seconds of music to play.

Real radio? I don’t recall that…

That would be awesome if you rigged up a little stereo! Maybe put it over the rear tires, get more traction;)

My daughter has a solstice that will need an upgrade…
The stearing is soooo heavy on that car, she has a hard time with it.

This will be the year of power wheels for my kids. I have 4 that need a little TLC and some new batteries.

Did you buy the batteries from the ebay guy mentioned on that forum?

No, I used the stock 12 volt from the Mustang wired in series with the 6 volt power wheels battery from the little quad I got her when she was 2. There is some debate about battery longevity when you run them this way so if/when they die I’m going to get three 6 volt 12ah batteries and wire them in, probably from gruber power services (the ebay vendor they recommended).

^ That’s how I’m going to do it when I go to 6 volt cells. Flip 3 switches and you can charge all 3 batteries right in the car from charge posts you install under the hood.

lol @ people on youtube doing 36v,the one jeep stood on the back wheels

^ I’m already thinking about going to 24 volts.

Updated the first post with today’s damp driveway antics. One neighbor two doors down just shook his head when he heard me yelling, “brakes, now gas gas gas!” and cheering when she got the 180 perfect.
