My power windows are not working at all…what could it be…what should i do?

I’ve had 1 stop working for an afternoon, but it came back.
Yea both, my driver side is down and wont go up and my passenger wont go down…where are they located…what else can i check?
I believe they are to the left of the drivers left foot, also next to battery in the engine compartment…
does the passenger window go down with its own passenger door control?

check the fuses first, if none are blown then pull the drivers side door panel off. on the left side you see a black box with a wiring harness plugged in it. I believe this is the power window regulator. if both are not working and they stopped working at the same time and no fuses are blown, then the window regulator is bad. hope this helps!
or unplug this, and hook it up to 12V to roll up or switch polarity, to switch down…
I was thinking,could I put 2 of the same window switch,you know ,the switch for the driver side window,you can either get the window down a bit or all over just by pushing ,I would put that same switch for the passenger switch
