The problem is you can’t do that with something as large and complicated as the federal budget. It’s far too easy to bias your numbers. I can go out and find a right leaning think tank that will show just the opposite, but that doesn’t really get us anywhere.
People have very short memories. The american public is already starting to blame Democrats fr the economy, despite the obvious.

I agree that neither Obama nor congress has done anything to fix the economy for the long term. The economic reform bills being debated in the house and senate are appalling. Not to mention the idiotic healthcare bill and this latest move to vote to raise the debt limit on Christmas eve.

We could have easily said “Oh Bush just entered into office at the wrong point in history because of 9/11.” and not place too much blame on him for handling the war wrong, but instead we wrote him off.

Right - well what do you think of Obama at this point. The financial crisis of course was not his fault as President, but he was a Senator - and should take some blame for some of this nonsense.
