I just finished some body work on my car and i need to get some high build primer sprayed on it. Does anyone here have a gun and some primer to do it? Or is ther anything i can use in a rattle can to do it? I know it would be bad to spray something of a different type of paint or whatnot on it which would make it hard to blend the actual color in later but other than that im lost. Anyone know their paint and have some recomendations?
Anyone?
Best bet is bring it to a reputable body shop and ask em to spray some primer on em quick. Should be VERY cheap
Thats what i figured i can do the wetsanding and all that so i hope it wont be much. The actual painting will be the expensive part im sure.
We might have some spray cans of good quality high build primer around. Give me a call after 5pm today.
just seein how ya made out with the primer, im pretty sure i have some outside and i do own several guns
advance auto has filler primer in rattle can or for sprayer.
Good car? ------> epoxy primer. If you can’t do that then the next best thing would be to use Upol Acid 8 primer(Saratoga Autobody carries it), scuff after full cure and degas, then apply some other primer for build.
You should really use a good epoxy to seal out moisture or it can cause problems down the road.
Depends on what this car is worth to ya I guess…
Yeah still havent gotten any primer on it. How much would you want to spray some on for me? Its about 6 square feet im guessing. Probly less. Is it good quality primer you have?
