problems in the turbo system

ok heres my problem
its hard to explain but here i go
ok all if i rev my engine up in nuetral it sounds fine
but when im in gear cruising down the road when i pass 3000 rpms it sounds like its either flooding the engine or it has an air leak somwhere but i took off all my intercooler pipes and made sure they were all in good condition put them back on and made sure all connections were tight and leak free and it still sounds like its flooding or getting air can ne one give me an idea of somthing else to look at? :?

Does it feel like the car kinda studders and jerks?? I had the same problem and I had a shop check it out, right away they thought it was the valve (I didn’t have a BOV) or maybe turbo chatter. It turned out to be just a plugged fuel filter. Hope this is all it is for ya too!!

thanks for ure input looks like im buying a new fuel filter
it doesnt really jerk, but it does studder ill let u know if it works

It does sound like a boost leak.

if its a boost leak then how do i go about fixing it?

You need to be able pressurize the system in sections. generally with a compressor and regulator to 15psi.

You try to find where its leaking from.

Exactly what they said. Pressurize the system with an air line and then listen for the leak. It’s a whole lot easier to find them without the engine running.

found and fixed the leak it was a blown hose coming straight off the turbo
thx for the advice guys

No problem. Boost leaks are frustrating.
