if i have a daily driver, i can afford having a car torn apart.but honestly? i’ll probably do suspension, brakes, and an interior/exterior restoration… unless i can find a nice carbed ZC, performance mods will be limited to a Mikuni or Weber carb setup and an exhaust.
dont forget about boring out the block, bigger pistons, higher compression, individual trottle bodys, stand alone fuel management.
or forced induction.

metro is 114.3.
prizm is 100.
metro and prizm share no parts. manufactured by two different companies (suzuki + toyota)
i was thinking corollas had 4x114.3 boltpatern.

1500S is a nice starting point if you’re going to build an older Honda. To put it in words you can understand: dood, it’s like an Si of it’s generation before they added, like, the “i” after the “S”
here’s how i want to polish my turd sitting in my garage.

:dunno:
my Borbets were last on an 86 CRX
before that? an 89 CRX
before that? 88 GTI
I think my old RWD Corolla is 4x114.3, but all of the FWD ones are 4x100

all the other “project” cars you you have were nice too at 1st then something always goes wrong or you decide you don’t have enough money.
just trying to save you the waste of time, thought, and money:dunno:

i can only think of one: the CRX.
i sold it because i lost my job. i think that was a pretty good reason.
k if u say so. just giving my opinion. if you want to drive to st louis for that and spend more getting there and back with gas, food, etc. than on the car be my guest.
not trying to be a dick just trying to save you trouble

lol… if someone’s not willing to drive ten hours each way to pick up a car, he’s certainly not serious about sinking time and effort into it. i’d much rather pick up a 20 year old car in St. Louis than pick up a 20 year old car in Murrysville. Maybe I lose a day and some extra cash to the travel, but I have a hell of a lot less rust to deal with. Less rust is key when dealing with old Japanese cars.
it might be cheaper just to have shipped. just tell the seller to include a signed copy of the tittle inside the car
i remember shipping a car from san diego ca to pittsburg. it was like 700 bucks. from st louis it might be no more than 300 bills. your gonna spend that much money and time if you pick it up yourself.
how much is you bid for it?

I’d like to drive it back though. There’s something to be said for putting 500 highway miles on a car before you get it home. I’ll change the oil in St. Louis, toss my tool set in the hatch, and drive home with the radio low so I can make a mental note of every little tick/squeal/click/knock I hear on the way home.
cars rust in st louis they get snow and have slat there
