Well after getting the car back and started working on it I figured I would post up some pictures of it. So far I have had to detail up the interior. The car was extremely dirty. After cleaning it I was able to see what needed work on the interior. So far I am getting new door panels, those are pretty much shot. The dash is not that bad and the carpet is in pretty damn good shape for an 88. There is a rip about 4 inches long by the drivers side door so I am working on sewing that up. The race seats were pretty dirty so those took a while to wipe down but I think they came out pretty well.
The next is working on the outside of the car. So far I have been taking apart all the old plastic and repaint it with “Back to Black” trim paint. The pieces are coming out a ton better then they looked before. I had to repaint all the wiper arms, the front plastic piece over the wipers, the hood hinges.
The paint job that is on the car:picard:
Helen Keller could have done a better paint job with a magic marker and cranyons. I have the job lined up for a paint job soon so I am not worried about that but I am going to paint the car :nono: , that will have to be a surprise. I had to use a razor to get the paint off the windows because the windows had a ton of overspray on them.
The rims: Well I just opened up the rims I ordered and they sent me the wrong ones BUT they sent me Gunmetal instead of the bronze so that will look better on the car with the paint job I am doing for it.
Parts I ordered so far:
New Hood
TIres for the rims
New set of OE tail lights
New OEM fuel pressure regulator (one on the car was stuck open)
Here are some pictures of the car and the things I have been doing on it with my free time:
Update, after about 2 hours I got it running with help with BigB, bigtymer, Bill, and a few other guys. I took it down the road about a mile and back. I need to put new gas and plugs in it.
Side note: after i go above 35 the steering wheel begins to shake a lot. Do you guys think it needs an alignment? Never had this problem before with cars I have owned.

same thing happened to my talon, its got alot to do with alignment and possibly your steering system. the P/S in my talon was all messed up which caused problems like that
Update: Did a sparkplug change tonight, the old plugs were totally black.
I need some help removing the MSD system in the car. Does anyone out there know how to do it and can help me put it back to stock ignition?
The car dies out and runs ruff because of the msd wires are a cluster fuck and one of them is cutting out the entire system. I dont want to bother with the MSD so it needs to go. Any help would be great!!
how long the car sit run ur hands on the tires probably have flat spots its not a alignment issue its a bad suspension/steering compent or tires/wheel balance
