[SIZE=2]New York state is facing a multi-billion dollar budget shortfall and lawmakers are suggesting increasing taxes on health insurance to help reduce this deficit. Governor Paterson’s proposed 2009-2010 state budget seeks to add an additional $481 million to health insurance taxes.
Higher taxes on health insurance will result in higher health care costs for all New Yorkers. As the cost of health care escalates, so will the number of New Yorkers who can no longer afford coverage.
You can make a difference. Legislators need to hear from you. Please write your Legislators, asking them to reject higher taxes on health insurance.

So in order to pay for our bloated state healthcare and stuff, we’re considering an increase in tax on private healthcare that will force more people onto the public system that we can’t afford? :awdrifter:
the overwhelming theme is that Patterson wants to cut NY’s health care expenses which have spiraled out of control. I see shit closing down, benefits limited.
show me/quote one of the examples that supports your claim (it’s now your claim since you’ve written Patterson personally) Everything is very reasonable, really. We should have done this years ago.
