Prostart Remote Starter/Alarm feedback?

Crappy tire currently has a 50% off sale on Prostart remote starters. One of the models for sale is a 3-in-1 2way device. Does any have this system installed? Heard any good/bad things about it? Is it worth the $125? Would like some feedback and opinions please…

ive installed a number of those and they work fine…

nd i haven’t heard anything from them after, so i guess theyre good…
if youre looking to save money then this is the way to go

My mom has one of those. There ok… but later on they start acting up (random chirping)

Well it is the same shit at compustar/ Nordic Start.
what car is this going to be going into and who would be doing the install?

you sure? i haven’t heard about this before.

i worked as a car audio installer for a year and compustar was the one i installed the most, pro start was a close second. we had way less compustars come back with problems than pro starts. i’m not saying you’re wrong, it could just be coincidence. where did you get this information from?

a common thing with pro starts seems to be a defective unit right out of the box, probably 1/20 that i installed had a dead/malfunctioning brain even though it was brand new. but CT is pretty good with returns so it isn’t a major issue, just more of an annoyance.

for the price you can’t really go wrong, i’d buy it if i were you.

hahaha everyone is becoming the same company, it is kinda silly really

I was guna do the install myself, i had the FSM, bulldog security write-up (i kno ist a different alarm system but they tell you where the wires are on the 240) and the prostart instructions all ready to go. Is there anything else i should get ???The car is an s14. I wanted to go with the prostart route just because it did indeed seem like the same shit compustar is offering but much cheaper. I have the compustar on my other ride and don’t see what could make it soo much better then the prostart.

you’ll find out, they looks the same on paper but the compustar just seems to be designed better, installation is way simpler, too. the wires are laid out better and the programming menu is much easier to navigate. plus they seem to be more reliable from my experience. with alarms you really do get what you pay for.

shit

yea, ive worked with compustar a lot and theyre really reliable…

oh yea, for the record, compustar and arcticstart are the same thing…
theyre both manufactured by Firstech…

its not the same as nordic, easycar, or prostart
