Tod had a 13.1 or 13.2 earlier in the night, clutch + transmission were not playing nice.

Nice meeting a few new faces last night. Fran - I got to hear one of your passes - it sounded like you ate a whole 12" hoagie between shifts :smiley: Just kidding, the car sounds great. Hope you get it dialed in.

I ran a 13.26 on my 1st pass with wheelspin.

I ran 14.12 on my 2nd pass with sparks flying out from under the truck (as I was told). The clutch took a dump, and I’m assuming that it is down to the rivets. It slipped 1st, 2nd & 3rd gear and I short shifted into 4th.

I left the line easy on 2 more passes but ran a 13.42 & 13.93. The last pass, 2nd gear wouldn’t engage. My best 60 ft last night was a 2.06. This truck has done a 1.71 60 ft. With the street tires, it regularly runs 13.0 @ 107-109mph.

I guess I thought the clutch would ‘magically’ work last night with the drag radials. The last time the truck was run with the drag radials, the clutch let go. It was even giving me trouble last night on the trip home, so it’s finally time to pull the trans. It needs a 2nd gear syncro & hopefully just a clutch disc to get me by. I don’t have the scratch to buy a complete new clutch right now. I got a pretty good side job to do next week, so I will not pull it apart until that job is done.
