Ps3 + iMac?

Ok so i’m thinking about picking up a ps3 so I figured maybe i’d start renting and buying some blu-ray dvds…then I realized the TV in my dorm room is an old school 30 inch cathode ray TV, so thats a no to the blu-ray. Then I realized i’m sitting here in front of a 24 inch hi-def iMac so i’m wondering, anyway I can hook the ps3 up to this thing and get some hi-def gaming and movies going? Can any Mac and/or ps3 owners tell me if this is possible? Thx.

i honestly thing think so at all. mac has problems playing non MAC games as it is.

get a hdmi to dvi cable, it works. if the screen can take input

^ yup, that should do it. As long as the monitor is HDCP compliant, afaik, you shouldn’t have any problems. If the monitor isn’t, however, then you should still be able to play video games on it, but you might be SOL if you want to watch movies (in hi def atleast)

IMAC is a display pc combo, has no inputs, you need to buy a MAC hdmi input for your imac

Yeah i figured i’d need some kind of mac adapter, but it’s good to know that it is within the realm of possibility

well, just make sure the monitor is HDCP compliant

from what I’ve seen, they’re not (or at least the ones I’ve seen)… just a heads up before ya spend the $$$
