keep your damn dog’s claws out of my F’n back
White Oak Park, in… ummmm… White Oak. Just off Rte. 48 between McKeesport and Monroeville.
It is a county park, but it is better kept than South Park, there are no “swamps” after a rain, has more grass instead of dirt, and the people/dogs are a lot friendlier, IMHO. We’re kind of same distance to both and for a while were going to both, but South Park has just gone downhill. Since I’ve got my yard cleared of brush, grass planted, and got the fence up, I don’t do dog parks much anymore. But if I did, it would be White Oak > *.
EDIT: For those interested, I’m having a “dogapalooza” tomorrow, Saturday, the 27th from 4pm-??? at my house. I have almost an acre cleared and fenced. It may rain, but we’re having it unless it is extreme downpour. BYOB. We’re expecting maybe 10-15 dogs of all sizes and ages. I’m dog-sitting a real cool husky over the weekend and he’s having a blast with my two weims. Should be fun.
Thanks for the tips everyone. We had him in our room last night in his crate and my wife laid on the floor by his crate for about 10 minutes and then came back to bed. Then my wife woke me up at 2:30 and I took him out to go pee and then laid on the floor next to his cage until he fell asleep. He didn’t end up getting up until about 8. That was our first night of sleep in one week.
congrats…
I live in Brentwood, so going anywhere near Monroeville is not gong to happen. The dog doesn’t like the car all that much, so the two within ten minutes suit me fine. I have a decently sized fenced in yard as well, but it does nothing for socialization, hence the need to go to them.
we must have lucked out, all the dogs Ive ever had never woke us up or anything. we ever leave his food and water down and he doesnt eat or drink in excess. still very fit.
if he needs to go out at anytime he just simply rings a bell with his nose by the door and we’ll come and let him out lol
sometimes dogs just dont do well with cages… when me and my fiance first got are female pittbull… she would cry the moment she got put in the cage… this was consistent for about 3 weeks… i was just like you gettin 2 to 3 hrs of sleep a night… finally we decided to lay a few blankets down on our bedroom floor w some newspaper around it and it was magic… the crying stopped and she was sleeping all threw out the night.
