What he’s saying is it’s easy for you to sit here now and say we should have done this and we should have done that but at the time the facts were different. Whether Saddam had WMD or not… he was killing people… his own people… torturing them and he needed to go. Was now the right time maybe…maybe not… But how could you pressum to have enough knowledge of the situation to determine whether our President… who was elected by the people of this country… is making the right decision? You are entitled to your opion… but… you also have to consider that he has different information than you and I. Our knowledge of the situtaion is fed by the media… His knowledge of the situation is fed by intelligence agencies…
This post does not say your opinion is wrong… it is simply stating your opion is your opinion… and you should not be telling anyone else there’s is wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion… whether you agree with it or not.

Our way of life is considered evil by most muslims and the followers of Islam. Bin Laden was a very great leader of troops while fighting against the Soviets in Afghanistan during the 80s. In fact he was injured in battle many times while leading his soldiers. The Mujajadeen succesfully beat the Soviets and prevented them from invading Afghanistan.
bin laden paid for weapons, ammo, food and clothing out of his own pocket using his incredible wealth to defend Afghanistan. After the war was over, he spent much of his own money rebuilding Afghanistan and used his former soldiers as construction workers, etc.
When Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, Bin Laden went to the Saudi Royal Family and offered to defend Saudi Arabia. He was going to use all of his own money and the soldiers that had served him in Afghanistan. The Saudi Royal family said “No.” and asked us, the United States to help. We accepted and Bin Laden flipped out. Our defending Saudi Arabia would mean bringing our evil Western ways directly to their soil. He was exiled by the Royal family to Sudan. He eventually made enough trouble and got kicked out of Sudan and went to Afghanistan.

I am not defending bin laden and his people and I am certainly not going to say anything bad about our military or our country. Soldiers have tough jobs…When is the last time your job as a detailer, electrician, plumber, landscaper, system administrator, or receptionist require you to kill someone, or even possibly be killed?

ps - the bombing had nothing do with the olympics and everything to do with the G8 summit. The bombs went off to coincide with the official opening of the summit.

I did not intend to lecture, so sorry if you felt lectured. I did not say that what he did was acceptable or justified, only the reason that we are where we are today.
