quarter mile time accuracy on a fault start...

I was just wondering if the quarter mile time is still accurate even if you have a fault start.

1/4 mile times are unaffected by reaction times.

If you redlight the number is still accurate.

You could sit at the light for 10 minutes if you wanted. The timer doesn’t begin running until you trip the red-light beam.

Really? Shit. I thought that bracket racing was like you guys discribed, and that normal shit we race on is affected by reaction time…

Well in bracket racing, lets say my dial in is 10.00 and yours is 9.00. At you have a perfect light and run a 9.07 and I have a .960 light and run 10.00 right on my dial, you’d still win.

thanks for the info…

Aaron, we had this discussion last year, remember? You tried to discount one of my runs during time trials because I red lighted. I thought I set you straight way back when… :E

Hell, I always get quater mile stuff mixed up. I just don’t keep on top of it. lol.
