question about drifters

i see alot of drift cars and some have there hoods off is there any reason why they have there hoods off?

To allow them to drift legally according to DOT regulations.

Wrong section by the way.

Wrong section.

BUT my guess is that they take off the hood because when they run into a barrier or stack of tires, it’s one less part they have to pay to replace.

It’s more because stock cooling systems get pretty strained when you’re in high-load, high-rpm conditions, at a low speed.

Better to lose some body panels than cook a motor!

sorry but thank you.

lol oh god

I have removed mine in the past due to cooling issues

*edit, like the pic in my sig to be exact

also do they have drift trucks?

thats why you get hood vents BROOOOOOOOOOS

yea, Sprockit is going to be drifting the S-runner most likely

why dont you see drift trucks the back end is to light?

I drift my honda civic in reverse

I can ride a bike with no handle bars, no handle bars, no handle bars

I drifted a 36’ class A motor home in at the Clifton Park mall parking lot in the winter. Talk about some ass end swing!

What tha!? Bring it back will ya, I been homeless for months now…

:lol

because almost no drifting oganization allows trucks to compete. there have been drift trucks, but not many.

Elliot, were setting up the ranger to drift.

Every time it snows at work I drift 40’ busses :lol

sounds good.

I drift awd style.
