question about tein coilovers

Well I knew last summer, but I forgot over the winter. so please help me out!

With tein coilovers that have 16 dampener adjustments do you turn all the ways clockwise(firm) to get to 0 and then turn back counter clockwise 16 clicks to get to full soft? Or the other way around? All the ways couter clockwise (soft) and then 16 clicks clockwise to get to the firmest setting?

Thanks! I can’t belive I forgot…but I don’t want to screw something up if I just take a guess!

Counterclockwise is softer, clockwise is stiffer. You go all the ways counter clockwise, and then you get 16 clicks of “stiffness”. It goes to like 24 clicks i think, but its definately not recomended that you use anything past 16.

Thanks!!

Any one else confirm this for me??

What, you don’t trust him? :stuck_out_tongue: He’s right though. Wouldn’t go past 16 unless you want the valves to explode, either.

B-Wurm

HAHA!! it has nothing to do with trust. And I know you don’t want to go past 16 clicks, I just wanted to confirm which direction was good and which was bad!
The reason i wanted confirmation is because I have been told the opposite once before, that’s why I am confused and looking for someone to second or third that motion.

Yep, its the same as a screwdriver, left loosy, righty tighty. Loose being soft, tight being stiff with respect to the coilovers…
