I have a set of Tein HE’s. The drift-spec coilovers that are 3 way independently adjustable. When I recieved the car some of the knobs that adjust the dampening force were cranked past 16 clicks. This is supposed to be bad for them and possibly ruin them. Well, if I adjust them to firm and drive around for awhile, and then adjust it to soft, there is a very noticeable difference. However, after a few days left on soft, the ride gets very hard, with NO give or dampening. The turn knobs do not move, they stay at the same number of clicks, but the ride changes alot. I was wondering if anyone has any expereance with these or any teins that have gone bad and needed repairing?
I know they are able to be re-built right? Any idea what all is involved in doing this? Do I order a kit from Tein, or send my shocks away, or what? Any idea how much it costs to rebuild them? when rebuilding them can I re-valve them to be slightly softer like the Flex’s or another high performance street setup?
hey are u ben? and about getting suspenion rebuilt sending it away to TEIN would be ur best bet, i am also interested in how much a rebuild is for a set of tiens i have!
