I would wait until Q3/Q4 of this year when codename Nehalem CPU’s are relased. Quickpath interconnects and integrated memory controller.
If you HAVE to buy now, I would get the 8200 and OC it. 45nm process technology has lots of headroom in it.

i like amd, but i think its time for a change, since i had to send my dell back, i realised i overpayed and couldent afford the monthly payment lol.

Those 6600s are way overpriced ive noticed.
still over 200 bucks, even on ebay the cheapest i found fo a new one is 179.00 shipped.
looking at prices,
e6600 2.4ghz (4mb L2) = 219.00
e6850 3.0ghz (4mb L2) = 184.00
e8200 2.6ghz (6mb L2) = 179.00
personally, for the price, I’d go with the e8200 and overclock it if you want to extra speed of the 6850
