Quick s13 Trunk Question

I am just wondering, what are the 2 bars in the coupes trunk for? Im talking about the ones that go from one hinge to the other. Are they just for stabalization? Are they necessary? I would like to get rid of them to make more romm for my sub box.

They are the springs that hold the trunk up.

i think you are talking about a strut bar?

Its an aftermarket part for better handling and you can remove it for subs if you wanted

No, I’m sure he’s asking about the torsion springs that hold up the trunk on a coupe.

Yeah it would be the torsion bars… Do you think that there is anyway to modify this in oreder to loose the torsion bars? Maybe some way I could rig up some shocks. It is just a pain because I just need that extra little bit of space for my box to not interfer with anything. Any input would be appreciated.

Seeing as the back seat is all but usless, I would consiter taking it out. Or putting the subs on the seat facing up.
