Quickest way to get to the NYC??

I have heard like 5 different routes. Whats the fastest one? Is it going through penn.?

edited : I always took the 90 to the 85s i think

the most direct way is 90 east all the way.

exit 15.

ummm, it’ll cost you $15.15 in tolls.

90 to 81 to 17 to… all depends where you want to end up in nyc

ask the howsters and how fassst you want to drive… you can cut through 380 to 81 then to 17 but i never tried it

it all depends when you want to get there too… its the weekend… and all bridges and trunnels will be packed any time of day… we arn’t talking 290 traffic we are talking 2-3 hour traffic for 1-2 miles

I-90 E to Syracuse US-6 E then US 206

Fastest way? JetBlue… Screw driving there.

seriously where do you want to end up in the cite… and yes jet blue is yo anwsa :slight_smile:

$228 round trip at jet blue, > cost of driving

I just decided to go like earlier today, there are 4 of us going so when we split the gas its not that bad

I want to end up in Grenwich village

Krazyjon, drank a little?

I made it once in 5.5 hours… I forgot the route, but we drove that rental car like someone’s life was at stake… :slight_smile:

word made it there in just short of 6 hours, got a speeding tix too, but luckily i knew a trooper,that slowed me down a tad. straight I90…

I have done the trip many times and have found just taking the thruway to be the easiest and just as quick as the shorter ways. Also taking the thruway you get the convinience of rest stops every 30 miles or so, which is a big plus when traveling with a group of people with bladder problems. Now when i did the trip i only went to exit 14 but was able to do it in a little over 5 hours with out stopping and travleing cruise set at 75 mph. You could take the thruway all the way to the major degan in the bronx and then hop over to the FDR or the westside highway and make your way to the village from there. Now depending on the time of day this route might, or might not be your best bet traffic wise. If you don’t hit the Tappan Zee Bridge during rush hour you should be in pretty good shape.

90->Batavia->63->17->81->380->80->Lincoln Tunnel->Village

Best route to take if you’re planning to drive at night.

I’m leaving at like 8ish tomarrow morning

80->95->Lincoln Tunnel->Village

im just flying in 3 weeks fuck driving i do it all day long for work

There are cheaper flights than jetblue out there. Go to travelocity or something. Im looking to fly out there in the next couple of weeks and I was getting stuff in the 180 round trip range.

From the southtowns going down past NYIRP to 390 to 86 through Binghamton is not a bad route. Follow the 81 to the 390 and then to the 80.

X…

I paid $99 round trip last year at the end of October flying Jet Blue:)

i’m down here on LI right now, took me 6 hours or so to get to commack, which is about the center of the island. took the 90->390 i think->81->17. Onlything I didn’t like was the 17 had way to many curves and it just seemed like I was going back and forth. On the way home I think i’m going to try the 87 up to the 90 and over.
