Ugh, I hate reading these things. My dad’s always been the brick shithouse type and made it through getting shot and having two vertebrae removed like a champ but he’s fighting that bitch cancer for the long haul…stay strong man
My dad had a heart attack 2 years ago, luckily he went into the hospital when he didn’t feel right. If my mom had went to work before him that morning as she usually does there is no way he would have went in. His heart stopped as he got in the E.R. and they “zapped”(it’s what he calls it) him right in front of my mom. There is no way he’d be alive right now if he didn’t go in.
I am best friends with my dad and definitely will NEVER be ready to lose him.
I hope you get through this. I hate hearing about people this young having heart attacks. Eat less meat!!!
If you knew he loved you and he knew you loved him that’s pretty much the most important part. Don’t forget to honor his life, western funerals put to much emphasis about morning death. Of coarse you’re sad, but get people talking about him and remember stories you shared. It helps.
RIP
thanks guys.it helps hearing about guys who went thru it and how they dealt with it.My dad was a very healthy guy it just shows life is short
sorry to hear :(.
Rest in Peace
also been through the scare several times… and i’m mad i dont see my dad as much as i could… calling my parents now.
Sorry to hear.
I am only 2 years younger than your father and my daughter turns 4 in a few days, I NEED to live a lot longer.
my condolences
Yeah this thread hits home. It’s hard to say who means most to you in your life, but I don’t know if I’d have a harder time dealing with losing anyone more than my dad. He’s just always around when I need him and he’s been probably the most important person in my life, especially the last ten years or so. I remember he had a mild heart attack the night of my senior prom, probably the worst time of my life.
Hang in there and good luck.
Sorry to hear about your loss. Its devastating. Keep your head up bro.
I’m very sorry to hear that man. I almost lost my father in 2003 to 3 simultanious strokes. It was the scariest thing ive ever gone through. I can not imagine what I would do. I hope you and your family are all ok.
