Coming home from Jess’s house, I’m driving down a certain high way, and I see a yellow Corvette. I notice the temp tag on the back window, and how the rear end is not bubbled out.
I think to myself, well… I have seen about 3 other C6’s running around Pittsburgh, so I bet it’s one. I turn my radio down, and hear him chirping gears, so definitely was an M6.
I get up next to him, and throw him a quick rev. He matches it back with one of his own… wow that stock Corsa exhaust sounded decent.
And I hear a downshift, so of course i match it with one of my own. Brought it down to second gear at about 40mph. Now I hate roll racing, but how many opportunities do you get like this.
So I glance over at him, younger guy, maybe early 30s. And I put up three fingers. I hope he knew what I meant. So I honked three times, and off we went.
I hesitated for a moment after the third honk to give him the jump, but as soon as i got on the gas, I reeled right past him. Shifted to third gear, and put on about 2 car lengths on him so far. Half way through third, I had a healthy 4 lengths, and kept that same distance till 4th gear. I shut it down at about 115mph.
We went one more time, and it yielded pretty much the same results, but with him starting. We got off at the same exit, and he followed me into the gas station. Really cool guy, I gave him the website’s URL, hopefully he’ll start posting here. He said he’s going to head to PRP sometime next month, so hopefully we’ll see what it can really do.
