Re-calibrate your tach, easy as pie.
Ahhh Chris, forgot to PM you, are you using the RB20DET tach or are you using stock KA? How did you go about recalibrating it if you used the KA tach? And Jesses as of yet KA tachs are useless to me.
KA24DE Tach.
1; take out cluster
2; move potentiometer almost all the way…fuck, clock wise I think???
3; plug cluster in, start car
4; observe your new found rpm’s
5;adjust as necessary

You need a tach regardless? Like, you have no tach at all?
If so, get an RB tach. 100% accurate then. (obviously)
Juts found out yesterday that my tach is off a bit. engine at 7200 when tach reads 8000. Idles at 950-1000
Yeah I have an RB tach in there right now but it’s non responsive (back of plastic is cracked). So I need either a KA tach or RB.
