rb20 240sx coupe

JRP is the name of the place you are looking for, take the qew get off at winston churchill and go straight through the light on to the south service road

Alot of people complain of the high prices but the way I look at is that By the time you pay duty and shipping it almost comes out to be the same ±$20

i dont know if they have Tomei stuff in stock I doubt it

they should i seen it there a couple months back. also big news !!! i have been up for 38 hours… and the car is back together… but like every swap there is a problem… i have no spark. anybody that can help that would be great, or if anyone can point me to a specialist with this swap ill pay for wiring, im done figureing out wiring and need the car now and im under my budget so there is room to play.

started and running!!! mint!!!.. only a couple problems… it seems like it may not be charging, also there is constant power to the main switch… i can pull out my key and it shows it as full on. not sure what might be the issue will have to do it tmrw im to tired tonight

good job man …what are you doing with the ka ?

the ka is sitting here on the ground… want it gone!!!, on a side note… thought it might of been my alternator so i swapped it for a rb26 alt… still no charging :frowning: so i have no clue whats wrong. anyhelp SON?

the wiring going from your alt. to the relay box …i had that problem

taken care of thanks… needed a new battery :s

i strange thats the same problem i was had too …my car would be fine for like a month …start fine then all of a sudden wouldnt start or would die when i was driving -_- …so i put a new battery in …and fine …all of a sudden next month …driving down the street randomly my headlight’s dim and my car just starts backfiring and chugging …

dont tell me that :frowning: . its already been a head ache i cant take anymore. it doesnt shut off when i pull the key, it has a vacumme leak somewhere because its up/down rpms at idle and sometimes will stall. fuel pump needed to be wired better (on/off dislike but all i can do right now)

lol im sure you will be fine im just warning because it happened to me and it sucks!!! new alt and new battery 2 weeks after putting them in i got stuck it took me 60 minutes to get home from like 20km away …i had to get my car boosted 5 times on the way and could not go near any sort of hill lol

WELL SONLINGS THE SWAP IS OFFICIALLY DONE AND THE CAR IS DRIVING. it has some small problems that are getting sorted out one by one but other then that it runs great. im wrighting this for anyone interested in doing a rb20 swap… anybody that whants to include info help out.
with the r32 x member the tranny sits to far forward (about 1 inch). in result with my shifter trim on the car will try to kick the tranny out of gear when your off the gas(1,3,5). ( another fix would be solid tranny and engine mounts or cut your shift trim or new xmember (custom mounts and driveshaft).
the hood needed to be cut for the fmic pipeing. and if it wasnt for that the stock bov and manifold. I had to cut mine and it looks stupid as a motherfacka but it works and has a purpose and saved me from spending $1000 on a new manifold.
the RB charging system is alittle tempermental. i had a old battery that would still charge and work perfect but the car didnt like it and showed no charging. i changed the alternator (for rb guys you no how much of a bitch this is especially running a aluminum rad because it all has to be removed to just get the bottom bolt out). after replacing alt it still wouldnt charge so i swapped the battery with one from a vw (we all no how big those mothers are) and it works perfect.
as for cooling i had no problems at all. i didnt even bleed the system i just filled and went and have had no problems with over heating at all ( that was first start up, since then system has been bleed completely )(only problem im having is the heat takes forever inside the car to kick in but i figure thats because i had added a extra gallon to the cooling system )
too anyone intersted in going rb20. i sourced all my parts and drove around the gta multiple times to get everything for the price i wanted… this was strictly a budget build not based on money available but money i wanted to spend, meaning if it was in question i would replace it but in no way was i going to throw parts at the car for no reason, also if i felt i could source the part out cheaper somewhere else i would just wait. over all into the swap i have about $4000 and thats lightly. if this post in anyway is confusing im hanging and its saturday… get off my back

little update, went on my first big road trip with it (welland too barrie) not that big but big enough. it was also the coldest days we have had all year. right before i installed a mbc i picked up off bing and changed all coils. turns out the mbc was installed wrong so i was back to no boost untill i looked at it. well in barrie i got pulled over for a suspended license (since taken care of, just alot of bs and he never gave me a ticket just a notice of suspension) but i had to let my buddy drive the car, hes new to turbo’d cars so he was hitting boost. the mbc must of been installed wrong because once we got back from him driving ( i will never let anyone drive my car again.) we let it sit and when i came back out it would not start/ran like a bag of shit on 3 cylinders. so i taxi’d to canadian tire and picked up new spark plugs. upon taking out the old ones that appeared in great shape when i did the swap i noticed the back two were never changed and were different plugs/all plugs were not covered in gas and gaps were 1.14+mm. i installed new and put the car back together and it started and ran better then ever. but 5 minutes later it starts back firing like crazy when gearing down. all in all it was how the mbc was installed. i disconnected it and the car runs like a champ. but i still dont get to push it :frowning:

I disliked my rb20 hatch :frowning:

sounded badass, just… slow.

x2 ^

not to mention no response. no torque. SR is way more funnnn.

cory did ya get the flex pipe fixed ?

yea its slow… feeling like a stock sr. and yeah brandon i did that and the spark plugs and it runs beautiful now, still have a vacuum line or something alittle messy because my idle is jumpy but thats it. maybe maf not sure but runs rich

have you checked your alt fuse? i had this problem with my old skyline and thats all it was

alright well small update. car is back into the shop … have had nothing but problems but they are almost all sorted out.
just re-wired it and also dropped rear subframe … installing bings multi/aluminum bushings/welding dif
also picked up short shifter and oil catch can
