Rb20 Turbo upgrade

Would a GTR turbo be a good upgrade for rb20 ?

i know the rb25 turbo is a great upgrade but i can get a GTR turbo for cheap

The GTR is a T28 turbo whereas the RB20 uses a T3 turbo. Different flanges, so it won’t fit. The T28 is probably a little small for the RB20 anyway. You’d bet better off with a T3 from a VG30DET Cedric, steel compressor wheel 8) Or, like you said, an RB25 turbo. It has a Carbon composite compressor wheel that likes to shatter over 15psi though.

I have a garrett GT35R Turbo and a Top mount manifold if your interested. But it is fairly pricy.
