Re&re 3pc wheels

My one wheel has got to come apart and get rebuild/sealed. I may take them all apart and get the spokes powdercoated. After wards the faces of the wheel that meets the dishs would have to be sanded down to metal so it ballances properly with all the powdercoating.

I need to know torque specs(rough idea) and what kind of sealant to use? unfortunatly its got to be done to the one wheel…i may skip powdercoating to avoid taking all 3 other wheels apart.

locktite and i think about 40lbs for each stud

regular blue locktite for actually sealing the two 3 peices of the wheel together?..you certian on this?

I can understand using it on the threads of the bolts…

My wheels simmilar to so except the face of the wheel is sandwiched between the inner and outer half’s.

sorry, i meant locktite on the threads that you bolt the rims on.

contact the manufacturer…if possible

Ive been advised to use regular silicone smoothed thinly accross the surface and let it dry for 30 minutes(skinning over) before putting the wheel back together and torquing to 40lbs…awesome geusse duckJAI.

Ill try this to the one wheel and see if it balances well and seals with a tire mounted.
