Well i would just go browsing around different forums and seeing what people are actually doing to their 240s and then go from there. Remember, if you own a 240, its performance before looks!!! Dont be looking at those 20inch deep dish white plastic rims and 5 inch uber downforce spolier…yet.

well since you guys are the “nissan” experts help me out a lil, what should i start out with ONCE i get my 240 here is what i got so far
1992 nissan 240 sx
Motor
I want a Greddy stage 3 Turbo with the intercool Kit, fuel filter, plugs, wires, fuel rail, injectors, pistons, valves, rings, cylinders
Transmission if it has a stock automatic transmission I want 5 speed or even 6 speed transmission if possible With ACT short throw kit, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, release bearing.
Suspension
because of the weather, roads are always in construction, so maybe just drop it an inch and a relatively stiff suspension. Font and rear sway bars
Brakes
4 disk brake system , I want brembo slotted cross-drilled rotors, pads, calipers, and stainless steel lines.
Miscellanious
As far as differential, cam shaft, crank shaft go, not to knowledgeable about that, just something that can hold the torque and horsepower would be good
Exhaust
just borla or skunk2 catback exhaust(lemme know prices) with aem cold air intake
this is a start anyhow, i did have plans to do up the motor before the looks, but i dont have the money to buy individual parts i would have to buy the car almost complete (get a loan) y’know which kinda sux for me. so im still trying to buy the 240 with enough power(turbo exhaust decent power upgrades) and then when i get the money i can do the visuals and other power mods myself

You’re interested in the power capabilities eh? Different engines have different power capabilities and each react different to certain upgrades. Find one that suits your needs/desires and go from there.
Motor: which motor do you want? Ka, sr, rb, ca etc . . . How much power are you looking for? Is it a daily driver or track car? Are you going to upgrade internals?
Suspension: coilovers or struts? you going to do bushings, tie rods, tower braces etc?
Brakes: overkill for what you’ll be doing?
Miscellaneous: How much torque and horsepower will it be holding?
Exhaust: are you going with names or with what you’ve looked into?
Have you looked into insurance for a 240? I’m not trying to put you down or criticize you now, just take into consideration the cost for something like this. If you fully built up your car it’d sound like a hell of a car, but what exactly are you looking for?
basically i want the power able to control it in this city, yes i agree brakes are over kill thanks for pointing that out, and as far as i understand the Ka motor is more or less for drifting, im thinking of going struts mainly because of our winters, i dont want thoise coils to snap:P

i just fixed up an 87 honda civic i could drive for the winters. new drive axle new clutch so having a winter is no porblem and yes i know i aint gonna be able to afford all this, ya aint gotta remind me i wasnt planning on having IT ALL at once,
