Rear brake lines size and thread pitch

i need to redo my rear brake lines because they look too rusty. but the thing is i called nissan and they said it will take 3-6 weeks to come in. i was wondering if anyone here on the board can get them in faster.

or if you can just tell me the size of the piping and the thread pitch that would be great! then i can buy the straight brake lines and bend it myself. thanks

just cut off a old line with fitting on it napa auto source those places can help you out and nissan is over priced most of the time

canadain tire will do them for around $100 plus labour so under 200

nissan is 36 bucks for the 2 lines which i can get for probably less than 15 bucks at napa. i want to know the thread pitch and everything before i take anything apart, cause i dont want these lines being destroyed so i have a template to work on it.

and no im doing this myself i not going to pay 100-200 on stupid shit like this. i am capable of this easy work. i need this info soon before i throw in my new subframe.

Take a combo wrench and stick it to the line. Whichever wrench fits the closest, is the size of the line.

As for the thread size, IIRC its 5/16". Most of the time Partsource or CT has ‘Japanese’ or ‘Import’ labeled lines. Thats pretty much what I used.

Just go to partsource… they sell lines there labeled “japanese brake line” its 5/16th line, with a 7/16th’s fitting.

Varied lengths, pretty cheap. Like 5 bucks for 3 feet.

Mark is correct. Its just a japanese brake line vs north american line. But the fitting is 10mm since japanese crap is metric

Lenght wise, I think I got a 20’’ for the long/drive side and a 8’’ for the short line on the passenger side. Any longer and you’d have to cut and re-flare the line or bend/loop it around until you use up the extra length etc.
