I’ve seen that Kit on camaros & TA/firebirds

this site sells them

wonder how well there work on 4cly’s?

they work real well on 8cyls

lotsa lotsa piping.

yup, but I recall reading somewhere that the excess of piping really keeps the air temps down

also increases pressure drop… so i guess you run a bigger turbo out of effiency or some shit…

it’s not an efficient system, but it does work well for what it is, how much you pay for it, and how easy it is to, install/remove.

seems too impractical to me…i guess if you only drive when its nice out, but seems like road rash, rain, dirt & crap would mess it up? :dunno:

shielding perhaps?

depends on the vehicle too… I’ve seen F-body and GTO setups, and the turbo seems pretty protected on those particular designs

ehhhhhhh still seems ghetto to me

might be ghetto, but it still propelled a GTO into the mid 10s

don’t care…still ghetto.

just like a car i saw @ flashlight drags…all riced out.
someone told me they hear it was really quick.

i don’t care…its still rice.

which is why i said, might be ghetto, but it is effective…
rice is rice, and has no purpose, at least this turbo kit does.

ya, sometimes being fast still just isnt enough to make it cool. :eek4dance

this kit looks neat, I just wouldn’t mind them improving position of the WG
I mean why dump exhaust gasses right below the gas tank not to mention a hot turbo sitting next to it as well…I guess you could claim that when driving the gasses go down and out away from that stuff, but why risk with your life???

reasons the system sucks:

  1. lag is horrible because of excess piping
  2. presure drop because of excess piping
  3. even more piping is needed if you want a FMIC
  4. horrible placement for a low car
  5. wastegate placment
  6. their “patented” oiling system

that holds true to any car it is on. it is not a system for a daily driver

a lot of drivers claim fast spool times
