rear mounted turbo on an ITR...

that kit is the biggest POS!and now i knwo from seeing one first hand
one came to emage with one on…

that thing sucks there so much lag its stupid…

put the turbo where thay belong!

jay that thing is a piece of shit!

it took the comaro that came to the shop up to 4000 rpm to start spooling…

i could see putting this thing on a truck or an suv just for shits and giggles…

never would i put that in a car

another reason

rear tire rain water filter just behind = hydrolock tons of people are destroying there cars

being different > being traditionalist

experts agree with this piece of shit too…so whats your point.

they are trying to sell a product…what do you think they are gonna put on their site

if you doing it on a beater for fun or doing it on a budget with junk yard parts then so be it…but i don’t think there is anyway you can take this setup seriously.

If it spools, Fuck it.

blue talk with amswell we talked many tiume swith the owner of sts

amswell and i where on the list as design team to recieve on for cheep as hell

take it from me…for the money you can get alot better set up…

wait a lil while i spoke with george form turbo tech a set up for the gto is allready being tested

and pro turbo kist has one in the works.

and jim from speed told they are working on one also

my turbo doesent spool till 4700rpm, but anyway it would be fun to just fuck around with for cheap the only issue would be the oil, im haven trouble with the turbo street bike, i keep blowing the seals out of the turbo, does anyone know if street bikes run really high oil pressure?

4700rpms! jesus, where do you launch at then? 5grand?

i never knew it took that long for your car to spool

that ain’t no TD05 shit he’s runnin on that thing :blue:

fuck it, im mounting twin turbo’s in the trunk and doubling the rollcage as intake pipes :eek3:

If a V8 pushing 5.7 litres of air through a turbo has trouble spooling, then I fail to see how a dinky 1.8L 4cyl would be able to do shit with that setup.

It won’t. Everything about a rear mounted turbo setup on a front engine car is counterproductive. The only possible advantages are cooler temps and possibly better exhaust scavenging but thats all based on the manifold design.
