up from the bottom bearing (crank) see that big ass hole that lets you see the 2nd bearing from the bottom…yeah…that sucked case oil straight through the motor.
oh well i have a rather expensive paperweight now. :bash:

after talking to a couple techs at various bike shops this is what we know:
a. crank case vent line was pinched in the spring
b. the part that broke is the weakest part on that side of the case (or both sides of the case for that matter)
c. there isn’t enough play in the crank bearings to come close to doing that kind of damage
d. there are no metal parts inside the case nor were there any when we drained the oil all 700 times i’ve drained it in the past 3 days.
e. the bike was overfilled with oil
basically everyone is thinking there was enough pressure inside the case (whther the case had a bad casting or not) when overfilled to make it’s way through that wall a bit at a time, then got worse from there.
Damn…so what now?
gotta find a place to fix it
sorry for the crappy pic but jay at domination did an EXCELENT job on this today! thanks again man u really helped me out!
nice fix!!
