as some of you know I blew my tranny well I finally overhauld it found a stripped oil pump was the culprate, I tore down the tranny that came out of my car and did a mock up transgo install on it and everything went smooth so I installed the transgo kit on my good tranny which I found out the used tranny I got is on a fresh rebuild so that is great news for me.

I should have the beast back on the road end of the week, i’ve got a few suspention goodies that I still need to install and I got my gauges installed as well as my new massive tranny cooler (bigger than 2 honda radiators… serously) as well as my tranny thermostat, removed the A/C system, snapped 2 subframe bolts so I have to install the recall kits and cut some holes in my florboards to do that so pretty much i’m just wrapping up a bunch of small projects and then I will save up for the 2 inspection tickets I got and 1 speeding ticket and after I pay off the inspections tickets i’ll fix my car so it will pass inspection… kind of funny how I don’t have the money to buy a EGR valve so my saturn (winter bomb) will pass inspection so they slap me with $300 in fines because of that. is your bro helping you out with some of this stuff? take some pics of the transgo install and e-mail them to me if you could, pm for details…

we already installed the transgo kit we even had 2 cameras but one wasn’t working and the other had a bad batery so we didn’t get any pics sorry but it was pretty easy, it is intimidating at first but once you get over the many parts its not so bad.

we actually cheated a little we did every step except the last one which was drilling the rear planetary and that was a bitch to get to so instead of risking a freshly rebuilt tranny we decided to skip that particular lube upgrade even though it is a important one. I just need to get a year out of this one because once the boost is in i’m only expecting a week of proper operation :slight_smile:

ask for doug lewis. bullet-proof transmissions, good for over 500 whp IIRC. best $2k you will ever spend, and you know that will be worth it big time when you start upping the pony count.
