Nothing. In fact, I’m doing more travelling since prices went down due to everyone else cutting back.
I’ve cut back on coke and hookers.
I’m not going to pop my collar any more at clubs.

Cutbacks? I got a 5% raise this year and the biggest profit sharing check since I started at the company. Despite the media and their constant hyping of the negatives a lot of companies are doing just fine right now.

Another way to look at it: I ask for discounts everywhere now. With no embarrassment at all. You do it in business, so why not everywhere else? Everything is negotiable.
Hell, I went to get a slice of pizza yesterday. Guy walks in, asks for a Calzone and “how much”? Pizza man says $4.50 . Guy says “can you you any better?” There were 20 calzones on the shelf. Pizza man says “$4.00?” . Guy says “deal”.

When you are negotiating $.50 you are poor and should not be buying said a calzone.
I haven’t gone so far as to haggle on a $4.50 calzone, but I have picked up some great deals in the classifieds and craigslist. I’m really torn on getting a new SUV because of the insane deals you can find on them right now.
Ex: I found an 04 or 05 Murano S, AWD, with 28k for $14.5 list a couple weeks ago at a dealer 200 miles away on autotrader. It took all the impulse buying control I had not to take the day off and drive down with my Expedition to work out a deal on that.
PS… the post thanksgiving sales will probably be some of the best we’ve ever seen this year.

FUCK! I just realized im spending like its going out of style haha. A recession or fear of one is an amazing time for people with money to be buying whatever they want really. Used cars especially ones that are expendable like sports cars are cheap. A few months ago I picked up a 2003 5-series loaded for WAY too cheap. Im about to buy a house here in April-May and soon after that im picking up a sports car ZO6/Viper/??? Recessions are sweet. Hell the the fucking plumber is about to buy a business that makes $250k+ a year!!!
