Reckone's V6 swapped 91' Amigo!

That thing is ready to whip. A friend of mine went for a ride with Nick the other night and said it pulls amazing. The original plan was to keep it stock until a turbo started making unhealthy noise.

This truck makes me want to buy something to play in the mud with soooo bad, and I could use it to tow my boat so I dont have to borrow my neibors truck anymore.

PS Happy Birthday Eric :banana

i seen this shit in person, shits crazy!!! eric, whats up baby!!!

Yo what up fag? You should buy my B16 hatch! Hit me up this week.

Thinking about ditching this project as much as I’d hate to. I just want to focus more on one car. If anyones insterested, lmk.

nooo not “turbo friend”!

Unfortunately…

This project is back from the dead!

I just put the truck on the road yesterday after sitting since January in my buddies backyard. I plan on finishing it up for a sick as snow truck for the winter time :banana.

u crazy eric!!! yo u hear i fucked up my egg. just ordered mad new parts. coming back even better!!!

Turbo Friend is back! :stuck_out_tongue:

bringing it to the valley??

LOL, I really should. Not sure what a 2.6L turbo will run with 32’s on it.

Mike, you fucked your car up even more???

A little update with my truck.

I ended up blowing somehting in the motor, so it smoked like a bitch. I decided to swap in a 3.1 GM V6 into from another Isuzu I sold to a buddy of mine. I got the motor, trans, transfer case, and entire harness for the truck from the donor.

I have to swap all the wiring due to the Amigo being made by Isuzu and the donor pickup being made by GM. Its a pain in the ass, but not hard to do.

I plan on selling tohe turbo kit, trans, and motor to pay back for what I bought my truck back for. I just got the new V6 into it today. I want to put in a new rear main seal while its apart. So now I am waiting on parts to finish it up.

Some pics…

The 2.6L engine and trans out.

Eric… Could I make the turbo work on my Chrysler Sebring??

The only thing that would work is the turbo, bov, fmu, and intercooler. You would have to customize everything else.

Back from the dead!

Took the truck out on a few trails the other day. Managed to get stuck only twice within the 4 hour trip.

Picking up another amigo tomorrow for parts. Should be a nice turn out for low cost off roader ;D

First time I got stuck on this damn set of 3 trees…

Ended up leaving this hole. It took two 4x4 quads and a winch to get me off that tree.

Next I decided to run through a feild of tall grass and clay.

Had to get out the skid steer to pull me out of this one.

It was worse then it looks.

We be updating this week when I start swapping over parts.

At least your having fun… and good thing you have a skid steer laying around to get you out. :lol

Yea, I think everyone likes to play in the mud one way or another :ninja

nasty

The trick to getting over those trees is to hit them at 20mph sideways in second gear in 2wd :lol

Ask me how I know… Better yet ask Nicole

where do you guys wheel around here??? i’d like to take my canyon out but i don’t want it to get scratched up, mud is totally fine though.
