Recorded Exhaust db's

So i installed a new exhaust on my car the other day so now im officially running straight pipes. Noticeably louder then my 3" cat back.
Should have done a comparison test but didn’t think about recording the value. Anyways,

At idle recorded 78-85 dbs with the driver window down, in car, facing into the garage (doors open)

and when free revving to 5k rpm record this

averaged about 99-100db’s

come spring time i’ll do a road test and see how loud it is under load, 7k rpm and with the wastegate open(screamer pipe).

Has anyone done something similar to this before in recording a 240’s sound level?

If your doing this as a measurement for police, don’t you measure the DB on a 45 degree angle about a foot from the muffler?

101dB’s inside the car is fuggin’ LOUD.
