I see issues in the winter.
The majority of the offenders that they will try to be prosecuting will be the residents of Buffalo. Good luck with that. Not that we aren’t already one of the highest taxed regions in the country, now the politicians want to levy what amounts to an additional tax for city residents. This is shameful and nonsensical.
So everyone in Buffalo that drives around with snow covering their plates will get fined?! Cool I’m glad I don’t live there anymore!!
Legally you have to clear your plate, just like you do your windshield, headlights and brake lights.
Ugh… I ran one in front of Walden Galleria (coming off of the 90) and never saw a ticket for it, yet.
Sweet… good thing there is no reason to go into the city anyway
no you didnt… that strobe is just to alert you that the light is red… its not a red light camera…
you never go to sabres games, or any of the many, many, very good restaurants in the city? Never hit Chip, elmwood, or allen?
I feel sorry for you.
edit: art museum, delaware park, the bike trails…
I go to a sabers game once in a great while… the bar scene is a shithole.
Dont feel sorry for me.
Yep. Just because people (myself included) do it, and don’t get charged does not make it legal. You’re supposed to wait, behind the line, outside of the intersection, until your gap in traffic, and then turn.
Yep. Just because people (myself included) do it, and don’t get charged does not make it legal.
Cops let us get away with things all the time, but you can’t use that selective enforcement as a precedent when arguing against something else.
Yeah, I never run red lights, I really dont care.
The mobile speed traps however, might be an issue someday.
this shit is so stupid…as soon as i come to buffalo i get a tint ticket
i drive almost always in CT, tint is still illegal here, never a problem - cops don’t even look my way. in NY, a state trooper pulls me over on the highway for them in the middle of nowhere on the 90. so shitty.
Have you run a yellow? When they knock that grace period down to .1 second that’s where I have a real problem with it. That’s not a safety issue then because the car getting the green wouldn’t even had a chance to step on the gas yet, it’s purely a money grab.
I am not so worried about me running the yellow. I am more worried about the asshole behind me who ends up in my backseat when I slam on the brakes to stop at a yellow light.
Anyone know how the systems work? How does it know when someone is “running a red”? Radar triggered? Pressure sensor?
Anyone ever see the movie “Fun with Dick and Jane”??? In the very begining of the movie when Jim Carey runs the red light and the camera catches his grimmicing mug of anger hahahaha I keep thinking of that scene as I read through this thread. The law enforcement Im sure will have some good laughs of people running red lights and having the “oh god dammit” expression on their face hahaha
i’ll be worried about people behind me not stopping when i stop for a yellow i’m not sure about…
it’s bad enough when i stop for blatant reds in the city, people will swerve around you into the other lane and run it. now you’re pretty much guaranteed to get rear ended.
Was anyone here at the meeting? Or did anyone listen to Shred and Ragen(sp?) talk about what happened?
It went to a “no vote” whatever the hell that means. That’s what Shredd & Regan said today.
