congrats to Marco, all the best to him and hope he conquer his challenge against Vaughan Gittin Jr.
Woah, this is quite a surprise to me, Chris Rado is Drifting now? first it was Stephan Papadakis, now Rado. I guess Drag Racing is getting boring.

VIDEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

This is the shiet.

Key drivers in this 5min clip.

I love Takatori’s initiation with the Auto bachs blue skyline. If he didn’t clip the barriers it would have been 100 imo.

He was named Rookie for the Year in the FD series. I can see why…

edit: Paul Vlasbom does it amazingly as well!!!

Here’s Takatori in Rd.7 if you don’t know him…

With some digging, I found some pics of Marco’s crash… Other pics have shown him driving it since with no front bumper or left fender, a bit of the hood on the left side and the drivers door mangled a bit.

(site won’t let me hotlink)

Pics found at speedsyndicate.net

Here are some nice action shots after the hit. He’s rippin it up pretty hard!

THat VID is sick!! Hey I see there is formula drift series or summin on speed today at 4pm. Is this part of it?

http://www.formulad.com/redbull/drifting-world-championship/red_bull_results_2008.php

Looks like Marco was beaten by Gittin.

Vlasblom is out too. That guy has got some serious skill.

^^ wow that’s some big BS

Most of the guys I was rooting for are already out :frowning:

At least UEO is still in!

Here is a full report:

http://www.everythingdrift.com/blog/?p=297

Yeah I can’t wait to see the full reports, footage and points for each round… I know it’s not an exact science, but watching some of the points the FD judges give for some of the (regular season) runs, makes you wonder… although they do have to make their decisions pretty quick.

^^ ya tell me about it.

IMO, this isn’t a world drift event.

If it was, it should be held in Japan…imo.

No D1 drivers here…

I’d like to see ppl compete in Jland instead of USA. I’d like to see the grassroot JDM guys give US drivers a run for their money.

If I could only see Team Burst go against Drift Alliance that would be ULTIMATE!

yea all the amateur jdm drivers would own the rest of the world
that’s why it doesn’t happen

MSC FTW!

Well I haven’t seen the results and how they unfolded yet, but yeah, they should have judges from around the world too…

D1 was extended an invite… but they were retards about it, even tried to encourage Ueo and the other D1 guy to not drive (they actaully held back the announcement of their participation untill D1 season finale).

Can’t wait to get the whole story, hopefully there is some good video coverage that will show up soon.
