Redline motorsports goes 8.8@162 full weight z06

anddddddddddddd here we go…

Calm down everyone I’m not hating in the car, mostly just slowgto. I never said building an 8 second street car was easy. In fact I said it was impressive. All I said, which you can say is hating, is that I would expect a 432 cubic inch engine at this power level to be reliable. I didn’t question the car or its build, I only questioned your standards for reliability which seem to be very low.

I’ve driven plenty of fast cars at the track including a few 9 and 10 second street cars. Have you built any 8 second cars? How qualified are you to comment on how good this setup is?

When my cobra comes out u can tell me then… I had a 9.4 car in 1999…

I know what it took to go 8s on a bike let alone a car… But my cobra will go 8s…

I had a 440 ci z06 on spray and it was fully reliable so y wouldnt a 432 with turbos which are much easier on a motor not be reliable? Do u have anything that backs up unreliability? U do realize it started at a 427 and isnt really alot of work to go to 432 right?

My qualification is having a bigger motor then his with alot more abuse then turbos and the motor is fine and has now been 9.1 154 with a stick

Ls f.t.w !!! Gregg u goin bigger turbo on yours or no ?

Depends on power it makes… I got turbo 400 swap now if im happy with power ill leave it if not pro mod 94mm will go on with dbb and billet wheel

Ya know long story short the car runs abbreviated ya can’t deny it .

the 432 he has in his z06 isnt even in the same ball park as the ls7 they come with. You are comparing apples to oranges. The stock ls7 is a high compression, high revving motor with thin sleeves and light weight pistons and rods. They are ticking time bombs over 650rwhp.

Last I knew he had a warhawk block? What block does your z06 have in it?

and nitrous vs turbos if setup (tuned) and has the right safety precautions can be the same as far as reliability.

what did you say the cobras previous owner ran again, 8.7x’s on the stock motor right? what kind of engine management is the car running?

I want to race Smokinss bass boat with my seadoo rxp…

Went 8.9 154 its got a fast system on it

Z06 stock block

And yes cobra HAD a stock motor with exception of head studs n head gaskets

now with the fast system can it pass obd2 inspection, or u just gonna use a dealer plate or something like that?

I dont think you want to do that.

funny guy has some funnies lately.

I think he wants to do that for sure. Id pay to see that show down.

I can get it inspected… Its piggy backed with the stock ecm

I never questioned it’s reliability I don’t know anything about the car, I just said that I would expect a 432 cubic inch engine at this power level to be reliable. We are in agreement.

It can be reliable but it would be hard to argue overall that it’s the same. There are just more variables that you have to either check individually or don’t have a control of or fail-safe to prevent damage if something does happen. It definitely requires a lot more proactive precautions. OK for track days but sucks for street use IMO.
