Ok you all know I am all for supporting this club, hell or I would not still be here, but I do agree that if it ia a external event (not a SON event) and the Pics are not Hoasted on SON that the pics should be able to be posted in the public forum.
those guys set it up and participated so why not let them have there pics.

This isnt a ‘public forum’ that is there for the public or community. We are a club, and we do allow external access to people who are not members, we do however reserve the right to limit external access to the forum as to give incentive to become a member. (along with other things like a COOL members card and some frickin awesome stickers)
If we were to become a ‘public forum’ with no membership signup fee or no way to amass funds, it would be hard to keep afloat. We all know how cheap people are, and I doubt many people would donate to the club if they could become a member for free.
I do feel that maybe certain events should be allowed to be posted in car-chat or even events.

Cloudzero, your argument of you paying for the event, so you should be allowed to see pictures on SON is absolute crap too. SON does not equal DriftStar(although we all do love Jover… in a completely manly way…except for maybe jantos…hes sketchy), so you paying DriftStar for the event does not entitle you to view pictures on this forum.
After discussion with other Mod’s, for now the thread will be moved to chat for a while, but when it gets old will be archived in media. (This does not guarantee that the thread wont be raped/locked/deleted/blownup)
Eh… the paying for the event thing wasn’t really a main argument… i know that has nothing to do with anything when it comes to thread moving, but i was annoyed so i wrote it out the way i saw the situation…
either way, thanks for taking it into consideration, i hope no hard feelings spawned from this whole thing.

The Drift Event was participated by alot of different people. Members, non-members active forum users, non-members. It was a public non-SON organized meet.
All meets and event pictures should be shown. Especially if it wasn’t organized by SON. If it’s a SON official meet yes those should be for members only. We do hold those meets so the old current members can meet up with eachother, and to sign up new members.
But events that other forum users participated in member or not should be posted in the club events. Atleast for 2 weeks after the event. Especially since non users don’t use bandwidth.
And G. Old paid members don’t get picture bandwidth. Or atleast I don’t.

Anyways I think this thread has presented a good solution. For events and such, we should leave the thread in Chat for a week or two and then move it. What do you guys think?
