I pulled the neg battery cable on the civic to reset the ECU, but it doesnt seem like its reseting it at all, when i pull the code after i reset it, its still there, without turning on the engine first.
do i have to pull some fuse instead?

the ecu fuse in the under hood fuse box
pull the 15a ecu fuse in the engine bay
its either the 1st or 2nd one in
edit: damn you zer0daze
that did not work
pulled the fuse, for a couple of mins, then just put the key to on, still throwing a o2 code.
start hitting it with a tire iron…that always works
then you have an issue with the o2. check the connections to make sure they are crudded up, and no wires or clips are broken.
if the o2 heater power or ground is fuct you will get a code right away.
its a one wire o2, and its going to the correct pin on the ECU
its a D15B Vtec with a P08 ECU, both ecu and engine are one wire o2.
zero: im also loosing power in 5th gear with the o2 hooked up, like ill be driving at 3krpm then ill loose power for like 5-10 sec’s with the o2 disconnected it doesnt loose power.
i hope this o2 sensor is not bad, cause i cant find another one under $120
EDIT: so even though i reset the ecu and never turned the engine back on, its still giving me an o2 code? does that seem strange to you?
judging from helping my old room mate on his civic, yes it does seem wierd that the o2 sensor code is still being thrown after pulling the fuse and just turning the key, I would trace the wire all the way back to the ecu to make sure that the wire is not grounding out somewhere between the ECU and the sensor itself
