RHD article in the paper...

yah cause im sure that a bike doing wheelies on gateway bvld is real safe when everyone is doing 50K… shit bikes get away with everything … some of these things almost have the same displacement that we do … and the noise they get away with making …fack… i always roll up the window when they get near me … but yah 40% my ass …

what they should do maybe is to have this law created an extra class license for RHD purpose so the next retarded person that gets behind the wheel in one of these vehicle respects the fact that it is a RHD vehicle or they could total up 4 years driving experience with a full license for the person to be able to drive a RHD car … and i know they will be some pissed of kids out there with the last one, but im sure RHD drive owners like “scott” that is one of the guys i know that knows how to drive a RHD car on a north american road without making other drivers nervous would be pissed when his insurance renewal will be going up instead of down due to his registratio saying 180sx (JAPAN) instead of canada
This way we can show the guverment that we are aware of the risk and also willing to take precautions for it as well thus maybe allowing us to have more of these vehicle for another generation instead of ruining it for everyone else

about the left turn thing at intersections, you have the legal right to wait until you feel it is safe. I always find it funny making people miss the light! haha and as for passing on 2 lane highways, all u do is move over onto the shoulder a tiny bit, and u can see right past.

I was talking about this as the topic came up with all the mechanics up here at the mine. They’re all 50 years old or older, and the way they were talking about how RHD cars are soo dangerous because you’re close to the ditch, or you can’t see past trucks if you want to pass etc etc etc was pissing me off.

I brought this litte fact up to them, saying that if you don’t feel safe to pass, THEN DON’T. . .just a piece of common sense. If you’re determined to pass, then creep out and check first.

All the guys I work with want to have RHD banned of Canadian roads. They are also biased on “Jap Crap” (chevy/dodge/ford boys). They couldn’t bring up any other things to argue about, they just kept repeating themselves. . .

boils my blood at their stupidity. . .

lets just suppose they did change it to 25 years for the moment.

this would repeat all over again in 6 years but everyone will be prepared and it will be a huge flood of 88 silvias, then skylines etc etc.

what a farce

^^ good point… 25 year rule only really cures the “problem” for another couple years

well does this mean get your RHD while you can, because soon enough it’ll turn into 25 years? or RHD car’s values will sky rocket in canada because maybe next year no one will be able to bring in 1992s anymore? and yes i agree with allen that 40% more likely to crash is bullshit, a kid behind the wheel of a 240sx is just as likely to get into a crash as one driving a 180sx regardless of what side the steering wheel is on… just be more careful like anyone should while driving anyways, long live RHDs!!!

Also i believe it’s true about the flooding north american market thing, i mean really i wouldn’t want to buy dodge/ford/chevy etc if they start letting in R34s, R33s, MKIVs, 2002 rx7s etc etc but that’s just me.

not japans fault they know how to deliver reliable, fast sporty cars
