They are older than I am. That means those old fucks in Washingston get to die before me (knock on wood). So when they do, I’m going to take my opportunity and grab control of this government. I won’t be a dictator, just a really cool leader. That’s all I want.
WE are the government technically, I agree we need to wake up and stop acting like fucking idiots. The predatory nature of lobbying & our collective reliance on a supreme & expanding government will be the death of our great nation. We are collectively letting this happen, this isn’t being done TO us. Younger folks either need to hope the boomers die out or that they suffer enough of our pain to enact change. Stay in the parents basement and stay in their fucking ear…their generation has strapped our nation to insurmountable debt and had a chance to profit from the greatest boom (heist) known to man. The money is out there…money isn’t destroyed it’s spending power is merely transferred. Transfer that shit back and pay off the national debt. Cut the money supply and systemic debt by a fixed % and outlaw interest on the nations money supply. Blah blah blah…I’ve been saying this shit for so long I had to quit holding my breath.
So after firing some stuff a few weeks ago with some friends, I decided to get a rifle. My brother in law is practically giving me a mosin nagant m38, 200 rounds, stripperclips ect. From what I’ve read these guns pack a serious kick, and need to be cleaned after every use. I’m pretty excited. Any tips?
Looks like a nice rifle. They kick a little more than the '91-30 standard length rifle, if it really bothers you there’s slip-on buttplate covers in rubber, but be prepared for a little ridicule at the range, heh. Built-in bayonet and the 7.62 x 54 rimmed cartridge is plentiful.
They’re a really cool addition to anyone’s collection.
I plan on doing a resto on mine when it comes this week, I need to get all the cosmoline off of it and refinish the stock. Or if it’s in bad shape I’ll just buy the ATI one.
Seeing that Mosin reminded me - I guess I never posted my 1950 Swiss K31 here. It fires the 7.5mm x 55mm cartridge and the Swiss surplus is match-grade ammo. On par or better than the Mausers of the era for accuracy, and the straight pull action as opposed to a conventional bolt action’s rotate, pull, push, rotate. I’ve since fired this back to back with my M1, an M44, a K98K and a Enfield Mk. 4 and the K31 was a contender for most accurate.
