Right Hand Drive '69 Barracuda

I’m trying to work out what could possibly use a filter this big, it’s obviously a stock item for K+N, but what in the world has a 6" intake pipe, maybe a big diesel engine, anyone have an idea???

diesel. ive changed them before.

that’s one BIG airfilter then, what kind of a diesel would use that , I’m curious?
The K+N dude reckons it’ll do 2700CFM which is one helluva lot of HP.
I think we could fit a couple of these to a Rolls Royce Merlin aero engine and not max out the flow capability!

Compensating?

Also, what’s the story on the subie?

Yes I have a ricer sitting outside the barn, my young buddy Ray has swapped an STi lump into his 2.5 RS and is having terrible problems with it, I dropped the K+N on top just to show how absurd this thing is- it’s bigger than his intercooler, actually I think the heater matrix in the Barracuda is bigger than that intercooler- LOL

Here’s someone else’s sweet setup…

Ah the hemi station wagon approaches completion now, should be on the dyno on Friday and at Atco NJ on Saturday at some nostalgia race, I cannot wait to hear 572 ci of KB hemi with those PT turbos roaring away through the 5"flowmasters…
My buddy in England who bought the car from me truely has NO IDEA what he’s let himself in for

And as for a tweety update, I’m seriously starting to think I should hold off on fitting the Procharger motor and go straight to the Twin turbo NASCAR engine, the motor will be assembled and dyno sometime around mid July, it would probably take me that long to get the W7’s headers to fit into this engine bay- hum decisions , decisions

Oh and if you ever wondered what a few pounds of torque can do in a 3600+ lb car, the wagon ran for the first time last night, the safety harnesses SFI sticker was out of date 7 years ago- that’s how old this chassis is!
Zero tuning, pump gas and 8 pounds of boost, leaving soft (+1.50 60 foot) and shifting at 5900RPM - er 9.30@145MPH through the mufflers- it’s off to the chassis dyno today at 1PM, much, much more to come- happy now
AND I now have a big peice of carbon fibre mat to make the hood!

or would have been , my buddy calls me to tell me the TPS switch is busted and it won’t start, ho hum…

Gotta love how well big displacement takes to boost! You quickly run into the limits of…well…everything else, since you have more horsepower than you could ever need on tap.

I want my NEXTEL cup motor back that has displacement and modern technology Brent, imagine those heads and some big turbos, 6 bolt mains, billet crank oh er it’s going to be a monster.

Better build everything else to take 3k hp or so…ask Mike Moran about how much power he makes…they finally lengthened the chassis to allow it to come off the line with less drama.

hey I moved my leaf springs forward, now there’s technology for ya- LOL
